Pocket Spring Mattress
Our EvoFlex pocket spring bedding is manufactured with a grid of springs, each in an individual pocket of fabric material. These hourglass-shaped bonnell continuous coil springs are joined at the top and bottom to form a single spring unit, but because they’re not bound to each other, each pocket spring is able to operate virtually on its own. As a result, the body weight resting on one spring doesn’t go on to affect springs that are adjacent to it. Research from around the world often ranks pocket-spring mattresses as the more comfortable type of inner-spring mattress.
The Construction of the Pocket Spring Mattress
All borders are reinforced with 100mm wide high density foam - to provide support when getting on and off the bed. Heavy duty foam borders are hinged along both sides (small triangular wedges are cut into the top of the foam to allow the mattress to bend freely with the movement of the bed). The pocket springs are imported from Germany and arranged vertically to allow the mattress to bend more easily.
The mattress ticking has been custom designed for EasyCare. The ticking is a knit fabric and will move freely with the changing position of the mattress and not bunch up at the bend points. It is treated with Purotex - 100% natural probiotics. Active probiotics are applied to the fabric to reduce the amount of house dust mite allergens by 89% to create a fresh clean sleeping environment.
The Purotex works by microcapsules containing natural probiotics are applied to the fabric, friction between the body and the mattress causes the microcapsules to burst open and start multiplying the probiotics absorb humidity and start to clean up the allergens.
